Submission: IHACPA Consultation Paper on the Pricing Framework for Australian Support at Home Aged Care Services 2026-27

AHPA responds to the Independent Hospital and Aged Care Pricing Authority consultation on the Pricing Framework for Support at Home Aged Care Services 2026–27.

Costing and pricing need to consider that the costs of providing allied health services can vary considerably. The Pricing Framework must therefore reflect the full diversity of the allied health sector and provision arrangements, including small and sole allied health providers and where allied health professionals are employed or engaged as third party providers. Pricing should also recognise that billing is much more appropriately based on client-attributable time rather than simply time spent face-to-face with a client.
