NDIS Rules: Public consultation on new framework planning

AHPA has submitted a response to the NDIS Rules: Public consultation on new framework planning, acknowledging the importance of developing a clear, effective planning framework while highlighting the challenges of providing meaningful feedback without access to the full draft rules. The submission raises significant concerns about the risks associated with reduced allied health input, increased reliance on standardised assessment tools, and the potential for these changes to limit participants’ access to appropriate therapy supports.

AHPA stresses that safe and effective implementation will require adequate time, transparency, and genuine engagement. AHPA recommends delaying the rollout to ensure the workforce, systems and processes are ready to support participants safely.
