Submission: Inquiry into the integrity of the NDIS
AHPA thanks the Joint Standing Committee on the NDIS for the opportunity to contribute to its inquiry into Scheme integrity, the effectiveness of current compliance measures, and options for broader reform.
AHPA’s submission highlights that concerns about widespread integrity issues in therapy supports are not supported by evidence, noting that most allied health providers deliver essential, high‑quality services. While supporting strong action against genuine fraud, AHPA calls for deeper engagement between government, the NDIA and the allied health sector to strengthen quality improvement, address regulation gaps, and better steward effective, participant‑centred practice across the Scheme.
