REPRESENTATION - COMMITTEES AND REFERENCE GROUP REPRESENTATION

The Commonwealth government seeks the collective views of allied health from AHPA, and it has representatives on national committees and consultative groups, providing advice to government on an increasingly wide range of issues.

AHPA is currently represented on various committees and taskforces including:

  • Australian Council on Healthcare Standards.
  • Australian Rural and Remote Health Professional Scholarship Scheme.
  • Department of Health and Ageing Aged Care Advisory Group
  • Development of musculoskeletal guidelines, protocols and waiting list management material.
  • The Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Conditions Quality Improvement Program.
  • The National Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Conditions Advisory Group.
  • The Queensland health Patient Safety and Quality Board.

AHPA is also invited to represent allied health at a number of workshops, forums and summits each the year.
