AHPA PROJECTS

AHPA has been funded to undertake three projects since 2007.
Indigenous Allied Health Network
This project concluded in June 2009. A new Indigenous allied health association was established as a direct result of this project.

Shared Care in Chronic Disease Management
This project aims to improve outcomes for people with chronic and complex conditions by:

  1. Improving collaboration between allied health professionals and general practitioners in chronic disease management.
  2. Strengthening working partnerships between allied health professionals and general practice.
  3. Improving client outcomes in relation to chronic disease management via mutual understanding of roles.

Helping Children with Autism
AHPA has been funded to produce a series of resources for consumers and health professionals under the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism package.
