AHPA is one of 23 national peak organisations which comprise the National Primary Health Care Partnership (NPHCP) - an advocacy body and communications platform for the Australian Primary Health Care sector. • National Rural Health Alliance

Member bodies of the Alliance work collaboratively to improve the health and wellbeing of people in the country's rural and remote areas.  More information can be found on their web site nrha.ruralhealth.org.au

AHPARR

Allied health professionals working in non-urban locations have particular needs.  Issues affecting health professionals beyond the cities are the focus of a special AHPA committee, AHPA Rural and Remote  - AHPARR.  AHPARR provides AHPA with rural and remote allied health representation and a voice at national level.

National Alliance of Self Regulating Health Professions (NASRHP)

The NASRHP has recently been established to:

• develop an overarching framework for health practitioner regulation which takes into account the role of NRAS  and self-regulation as well as considering negative licensing 

• provide ongoing advice to policy makers in respect to the formulation of a self-regulatory model which builds on the experience of AHPA member organisations.
